Pavlina, better known as Patchu, is an artist and illustrator hailing from Sydney, Australia. With a passion for art since childhood, she found her true calling in bringing her imagination to life through her creative expressions.

I had the great opportunity to be chosen for a mural project in our local area Bondi Beach, and my inspiration came from vintage photos of women surfers from the 1930s and 1960s.
I mixed acrylic colours at home, experimenting until I reached the perfect combination of soft pastels. These colours would evoke a sense of nostalgia and serenity while highlighting the strength and unity of the women in the vintage photographs.
